Zach Cooper

Zach Cooper is the current Head of Business Operations at Acorns. Prior to this role, Zach served as the Head of Accounting and Business Operations at Acorns from October 2015 to August 2021. In this role, Zach was responsible for all financial reporting, audit requirements, and tax requirements, including coordination and oversight of external audit and tax firms. Zach also established financial reporting and accounting policies to scale the Company.

Prior to joining Acorns, Zach worked as an Audit Manager at KPMG from November 2009 to September 2015. In this role, they oversaw client engagements from audit planning through financial statement review, testing of SOX 404 controls compliance, and auditing financial statements. Zach's client base included public companies in the community banking sector, private investment management firms, and not-for-profits.

Zach Cooper's educational career began with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - Accounting from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo. Zach then went on to obtain certification from 8450 in Certified Public Accountant.
