Mike Madison

Mike Madison has extensive experience in the field of technical services and product management. Mike currently works at Acquia as the Director of Product Management. Prior to this role, they held several positions at Acquia, including Senior Manager Technical Services and Manager, Technical Services. Before joining Acquia, they worked as a Senior Technical Architect and Technical Architect, where they were responsible for technical leadership, system design and implementation, code review, and training of development teams.

Prior to Acquia, Mike worked at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory as the Drupal Technical Lead, where they played a key role in building and expanding the laboratory's Drupal capability. Mike oversaw all aspects of team operation and led projects for the US Department of Energy's Building Energy Codes Program.

Earlier in their career, Mike worked as the Lead Drupal Developer at Creative Catalyst Productions, where they designed and implemented new websites for art instruction DVDs. Mike also had their own business, Imagine Design Experience LLC, where they grew the business and worked with clients from the US, Germany, and Australia using Wordpress and Drupal.

Mike's first professional experience was as an Interaction Designer at WisdomTools. Mike also worked at Best Buy as a Specialist.

Mike Madison completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Indiana University Bloomington in 2007. Mike then pursued a Masters degree in Informatics from the same institution from 2007 to 2009. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including being an Acquia Certified Drupal 7 Developer in 2016 and obtaining various Acquia Certified Drupal 8 and 9 certifications from 2020 to 2021. Mike also holds a Shodan (1st Degree Black Belt) certification from the American Shudokan Association, which they obtained in 2020.
