Oki Mek

Oki Mek serves as the Chief Information Security Officer at Microsoft and is a member of various advisory councils, including the ATARC Industry Board and the Cyber Councils for WashingtonExec and ACT-IAC. Previously, Oki Mek held the position of Chief Information Security Officer at Equideum Health, where responsibilities included the development of a security program for healthcare networks utilizing blockchain and AI/ML technologies. Oki Mek's extensive experience at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services included roles as Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer and Senior Advisor to the HHS CIO, in addition to various security-focused positions. Prior to federal service, Oki Mek worked with the U.S. Department of Energy as an IT security contractor and has a military background in the Maryland and Virginia Army National Guards. Educational qualifications include advanced degrees from Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, among other institutions.
