Alex Hanshaw

Alex Hanshaw has extensive work experience in engineering and leadership roles in the technology industry. Alex started their career at Computer Associates in 1997 as a Software Engineer, eventually becoming a Senior Software Engineer. In 2005, they joined Ingres Europe Ltd. as a Manager of Sustaining Engineering, and later became the Director of Engineering. In 2011, they transitioned to Actian Europe Ltd., where they continued to serve as the Director of Engineering until 2020. In that same year, Alex joined Actian as the Vice President of Engineering, responsible for global development and sustaining engineering for various software products.

Alex Hanshaw earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Distributed Information Systems from the University of East London from 1996 to 1997. Prior to that, from 1992 to 1996, Alex obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc Hons) degree in the same field from the same institution. Recently, Alex obtained a certification in Preventing Discrimination & Harassment from Traliant in the year 2023.
