Robert Walsh

Robert Walsh has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and positions. Robert started their career in 1992 as a Director and Partner at Jendamark Automation, where they specialized in mechanical engineering, project management, and client implementations. In 1995, they moved to Sappi Fine Paper as an IT Manager and TPM Facilitator, responsible for the entire IT environment and various infrastructure improvement projects. In 2000, they joined Supportkids Inc. as an IT Director, where they managed and optimized IT operations, developed best practices and documentation, and implemented desktop management strategies. In 2007, they became the Director of IT Operations at Pervasive Software, accountable for the day-to-day management of IT operations in a global environment. Finally, in 2013, they joined Actian, initially as the Director of IT Operations, then as the Sr. Director of Cloud Operations, and finally as the VP of Information Technology.

Robert Walsh has a cum laude degree in Mechanical Engineering (ND & NHD) from Nelson Mandela University (South Africa). Robert also holds an M.B.A. in Business Administration and Management from Texas State University. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications in cloud security and information security, including Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) from (ISC)², Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge V4 (CCSK) from CSA, CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) from ISACA, and AWS Technical Professional from Amazon Web Services.
