James Deboer

James DeBoer currently serves as the Chief People Officer and Invoicing Manager at ActiveEngagement since August 2021. Prior to this, James was the Online Awards Administrator for the Virginia Sports Information Directors from September 2013 to August 2021, overseeing the organization's online voting process for All-State awards. James also held the position of Director of Athletics Communications at Eastern Mennonite University from June 2009 to August 2021, where responsibilities included managing a team to promote EMU Athletics and support the university's mission. Additional experience includes roles as PA Announcer for the Harrisonburg Turks, Graphic Artist for the Daily News-Record/Valley Banner, and Promotions Director for WWJK - JACK FM. James holds a BA in Mass Communication from Dordt University and a Graduate Certificate in Christian Education from Reformed Theological Seminary.
