Douglas Fischer

Douglas Fischer currently serves as General Counsel at ACTIVE™ and President of VapeSAFER, the latter advocating for consumer safety in the cannabis vaping industry. Previously, Douglas held roles as General Counsel at Ascend Wellness Holdings and Greenlane Holdings, where responsibilities included overseeing legal compliance and supporting business operations within the cannabis market. As Chief Legal Officer at the National Association of Cannabis Businesses, Douglas contributed to developing compliance standards for the industry. Earlier career experience includes an Associate position at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP, focusing on white-collar crime and regulatory matters, as well as positions in prosecutorial and academic settings. Douglas holds a JD from American University Washington College of Law and a BA in Political Science from The George Washington University.
