Matar Haller

Matar Haller has a diverse and extensive work experience. Matar is currently the VP of Data & AI at ActiveFence. Prior to this, they held the position of Director of Data Science at ActiveFence. Before joining ActiveFence, Matar worked at SparkBeyond, where they served as the Director of Algorithmic AI and as a Team Lead and Senior Data Scientist in the field of Algorithmic AI Research. Before that, Matar worked at Winton Group as a Data Scientist, where they developed automated data curation platforms and infrastructure for data streams. Matar also has experience as a Data Science Fellow at Insight Data Science, where they worked on developing speaker segmentation algorithms and presented at conferences. Additionally, Matar has academic research experience from the University of California, Berkeley, where they worked as a Graduate Student Researcher, Graduate Student Instructor, and Research Assistant. Matar also served in the Israel Defense Forces as a Tank Instructor for Weapons Controls Systems.

Matar Haller completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Neuroscience from the University of California, Berkeley in the period 2010-2016. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Cognitive Science with a focus on Neuroscience and Psychology from the same university between 2003-2007.
