Erica Chmielewski

Erica Zahornasky Chmielewski currently serves as Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer at Acuity Brands, a position held since November 2018, after previously holding the title of Senior Legal Counsel. Prior to this role, Erica was Senior Director of Global Employment Practices at Cox Automotive Inc. from November 2015 to November 2018. Erica's earlier experience includes roles at Terex, where responsibilities included Group Vice President of Corporate Human Resources and Senior Legal Counsel for Labor, Employment & Immigration, among others, from 2008 to 2015. Erica began their legal career as an Associate Attorney at Day Pitney LLP from 2004 to 2008. Academically, Erica holds a Juris Doctor from Quinnipiac University School of Law, conferred in 2004, and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration/Marketing from Sacred Heart University, earned in 2001. Erica also attended Lauralton Hall, graduating in 1997.
