Melissa Peer

Melissa Peer is an accomplished HR executive with extensive experience in strategic human resources management. Currently serving as Vice President of Human Resources at Acuity Brands since April 2019, Melissa leads HR for the Lighting, global Supply Chain, and Enabling businesses, overseeing a global team of HR Managers. Previous roles include Vice President of Human Resources, where responsibilities encompassed supporting Corporate Functions and a Global Supply Chain of over 9,000 associates. Melissa has also held positions such as Human Resources Director and HR Business Partner at Acuity Brands. Additionally, Melissa is a member of Chief, a network dedicated to empowering women leaders. Prior roles include Field HR Business Partner at Edward Jones and Senior Staffing Manager at Randstad. Melissa holds a BS in Psychology from The University of Georgia.
