Gene Fortanely

Gene Fortanely is an experienced Embedded Software Engineer currently working at Acutronic Group since September 2023, focusing on C++ software development for TI C2000 microcontrollers in aerospace applications. Prior experience includes roles at Honeywell from August 2015 to June 2023, where Gene developed C software for NXP ARM Cortex-A9 and ColdFire processors, and at Freescale Semiconductor (acquired by NXP) from March 2006 to April 2015, where Gene worked on software for Freescale silicon products and provided applications support. Gene also held positions at Intel as Program Manager/Engineering Manager from September 2000 to March 2006, leading teams on a Symbian OS telephony platform, and at Motorola from June 1991 to September 2000, managing device driver development and creating software for Motorola M*CORE microcontrollers. Gene holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology and has partially completed an MBA at Texas State University.
