Ahmad Waraich

Executive Director, Business Development at ACWA Power

Ahmad Waraich has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries and roles. Ahmad started their career as a Cost Evaluation Engineer at Saudi Weimer & Trachte Co, where they prepared bidding packages for various projects and evaluated contract documents. Ahmad then worked as a Cost Engineer at El Seif Engineering Contracting, where they were involved in the Kingdom Tower Project in Riyadh. Ahmad later joined Diyar Najed Est. for Antiquities & Culture as a Procurement Coordinator, responsible for materials and sub-contracts. At El Seif Engineering Contracting, they served as a Senior Cost Control Engineer, working on the New Doha International Airport project. Most recently, Ahmad has been associated with ACWA Power, taking on roles such as Contracts & Cost Manager, Project Control & Planning Manager, Senior Manager of Business Development, and eventually becoming the Executive Director of Business Development. Their work experience demonstrates their expertise in cost control, project management, procurement, and business development.

Ahmad Waraich attended Near East University from 1992 to 1996, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Civil Engineering. Prior to that, they completed their Higher Secondary School Certificate in Pre-Engineering from Pakistan International School, Riyadh.
