We are seeking an experienced software engineer to build interesting, high-impact internal tools for a rapidly growing luxury jewelry startup. As part of our team, the preferred candidate will have ownership of several immediate projects aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of our system.   Who We Are:

The Role:

Our ERP/CRM/DAM/eComm is built on top of Salesforce, Cloudinary, and WooCommerce, seamlessly integrating lead management, sales workflows, inventory management, jewelry production, media management, online sales, and shipping, all through custom applications developed in-house with significant use of open source libraries to improve the UX. 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for multiple aspects of software development to improve our core architecture - from database and UX design to quality control and deployment. 

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Demonstrates sharpness, proactivity, critical thinking skills, and excellent communication abilities
  • Has experience shipping and maintaining tools used by a large number of stakeholders
  • Boasts extensive experience designing and implementing fast, intuitive user experiences
  • Possesses advanced proficiency in data manipulation via triggers, webhooks, and user initiated actions
  • Is proficient at integrating external systems using REST and GraphQL (Google Suite, AWS (S3), DAM, Accounting, Shipping, eCommerce, etc.)
  • Knows SQL well, and is comfortable architecting objects, properties, and formulas
  • Excels in integrating and utilization of open-source tools and libraries
  • Is skilled in utilizing Visual Studio, or similar IDEs
  • Possesses practical experience with Git workflows for efficient collaboration and version control

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related IT discipline
  • A minimum of 3 years dedicated to DevOps or Internal Tool development
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic environment and proactively manage responsibilities
  • Must live a commutable distance to our Austin office

Logistics & Compensation:

  • Full-time, contract position
  • Hybrid work model (2-3 days in office)
  • Initial 12-week contract with option for extension
  • Working out of our Austin showroom
  • $2400 - $3000 per week depending on experience
  • Dress code: Sophisticated business casual attire
  • Offer is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check

  • Candidates will be asked in their initial interview their desired salary and should be mindful of what is appropriate for their skills and experience
