Eddie Valdez has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Eddie started their career in 2001 as a Transition Specialist Manager at El Pueblo Adolescent Treatment Community, where they managed daily operations, provided outreach and education services, and conducted crisis intervention. From 2005 to 2006, they worked as a Life Skills Trainer at Learning Services Corporation, focusing on assisting clients with daily living activities and implementing nutritional and exercise programs. In 2006, they joined Arapahoe/Douglas Works! as a Business Development Representative and later became an Employment First Case Manager, providing career guidance and job placement services to food stamp recipients. In 2012, Eddie Valdez joined Adams County Government as a Contract Specialist, where they served as a liaison and consultant for community contracts. Eddie later became a TANF Case Manager and Community Partnership Liaison, analyzing customer needs and providing orientation for potential TANF participants. In 2019, they took on the role of Contracts Administrator, overseeing contracts in the Human Services department. Currently, they hold the position of Human Services Deputy Director, focusing on performance, operations, and strategic outcomes.
Eddie Valdez received a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Business Administration and Management from Colorado State University Pueblo, where they studied from 2001 to 2005. In addition to their degree, Eddie obtained certification as a Certified Colorado Child Protection Caseworker from the Colorado Office of Children, Youth, and Famalies in June 2005.
