Anoop Chandran

Anoop Chandran has a diverse work experience in the field of biotechnology and immunology. Anoop began their career as a Senior Analytical Scientist at Adaptimmune in June 2017. Anoop worked there until December 2019, contributing to the development of analytical processes and methods. In March 2021, they became CMC lead for Early Phase Asset Development at Adaptimmune, a role they held until December 2022. From January 2020 to February 2023, Chandran served as a Group Leader in Analytical Development at Adaptimmune. Prior to joining Adaptimmune, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Immunology, University of Tübingen from March 2014 to April 2017. In this role, they were responsible for establishing and validating T cell phenotyping and functional assays, as well as assessing immune responses to peptide vaccinations in clinical trial samples. Currently, Chandran is serving as the Associate Director of Autologous Process and Analytical Development at Adaptimmune since July 2023.

Anoop Chandran's education history begins with their high school diploma from Loyola School in Trivandrum, India, which they obtained from 1990 to 2002. Anoop then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biochemistry from the University of Kerala between 2002 and 2005. Following this, Anoop attended the University of Madras from 2005 to 2007, earning a Master of Science (MS) degree in Biotechnology. Finally, they pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Molecular Immunology at The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg in Germany from 2007 to 2014.
