Patricia de Almeida

Associate Director Cellular Research & Innovation at Adaptive Biotechnologies

Patricia de Almeida is an accomplished professional in the field of cellular research and immunology, currently serving as Associate Director of Cellular Research & Innovation at Adaptive Biotechnologies Corp. since February 2019, following a tenure as Senior Scientist in the same department. Prior experience includes a role as Scientist for CAR T cell R&D at Sangamo Therapeutics, where Patricia led the development of an immunology program for allogeneic CAR T-cells in cancer therapy. From February 2013 to June 2018, work as a Senior Scientific Researcher in Cancer Immunology at Genentech involved mapping TCR repertoire changes in cancer patients and investigating the efficacy of various immunotherapies. Earlier, at Stanford University School of Medicine as a Postdoctoral Researcher, research focused on the immunogenicity of induced pluripotent stem cells in transplantation models. Patricia holds a PhD in Animal Sciences/Immunology from Michigan State University and a D.V.M in Veterinary Medicine from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho.
