Waqar Syed

Waqar Syed, MBA, CPA, CMA (Canada), IFQ (CISI, UK), has extensive experience in the banking sector, currently serving as Specialist/Senior Manager in Remedial Risk Management at Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank since May 2008, and previously as Senior Relationship Manager in the Wholesale Banking Group. Prior to this role, Waqar worked as an Analyst at Scotiabank Canada from 2002 to 2008 and as Manager of Business Promotion at Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ from 1995 to 2001. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Banking from the Institute of Business Administration (1992-1994), a CMA from the Society of Management Accountants (2005-2007), and an Islamic Finance Qualification from The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (2015).
