The Role

We are seeking a Senior People Business Partner in Edinburgh, Scotland, to join our People Team! This will be the first People Business Partner in Addepar UK, reporting directly to the CHRO. In this critical role, you will be a trusted resource and adviser for employees, managers, and leaders to support and align the business's vision, mission, and overall objectives with our talent strategies. You will need to quickly understand Addepar's business strategy to ensure you are providing dynamic solutions using data analyses and organisational agility to guide their decision-making. What You’ll Do

  • Be a thought partner and the point of contact for strategic consultation for Addepar UK senior leadership and other leaders across R&D, Go-to-Market, and G&A.
  • You will be accountable for leading programs at scale, from needs identification to implementation, considering the unique needs of our internal clients, and in close partnership with our Talent Development, People Operations, Talent Acquisition, and Workplace teams.
  • Build a data-driven approach to solutions, leverage analytics and insights to build compelling narratives for change, and gain sponsorship to drive informed decision-making.
  • Incorporate complex situations into a digestible, actionable format for business leaders and their teams.
  • Run point on employee relations issues and lead investigations.
  • Provide situational coaching to UK leaders and managers.
  • Partner with the People Business Partner team on organisation design and structure, team development, and building a culture/employee experience that encourages and motivates employees.

Who You Are

  • 10+ years of experience as a dynamic Business Partner, supporting a growing regional office
  • Experience in management coaching, organisational design, compensation, employee relations, strategic workforce planning, learning and development, HR policy and compliance, change/transition management processes, and talent program implementation.
  • Extensive experience in employee relations and UK employment law.
  • An analytical and critical thinking mentality to determine root causes and synthesise issues and problem statements.
  • Proven success in achieving consensus from diverse constituencies.
  • Highly skilled in relationship building.
  • Ability to thrive, navigate a constantly evolving organisation, and operate comfortably with ambiguity and complexity.
  • 5+ years supporting geographically distributed organisations.
  • A high degree of flexibility and creativity, very organised and detailed, with a client-centric mentality, excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with due diligence and activities related to mergers and acquisitions
  • Comfortable reporting to our HQ in the United States and flexible with working hours if needed
  • Willing to travel to the Addepar London office on a regular basis
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, or other related subject area or equivalent experience; MA/MS/MBA preferred
