Juan Sebastian Carvajal

Juan Sebastian Carvajal, CFA has a diverse range of work experience spanning various roles in finance and investment. Juan Sebastian is currently the Director of Strategic Finance at Addi, where they oversee financial strategy. Prior to this, they worked as a Capital Markets Manager and Finance Manager at Addi.

Before joining Addi, Carvajal worked at Bamboo Capital Partners as an Investment Associate, where they focused on private equity and debt investments across Latin America and Sub-Saharan Africa. Juan Sebastian also served on the boards of several microfinance banks and was involved in multiple investment exits.

Carvajal has also gained experience at Banco Popular HN as a Board Member and at MAS Equity Partners as a Private Equity Trainee. Juan Sebastian began their career as a Research Assistant at Universidad de los Andes - Colombia and gained further experience as an Investment Analyst at Tulane University and as an Equity Research Analyst at the CFA Institute Challenge. Juan Sebastian also served as a Teaching Assistant at Universidad de los Andes, where they provided academic support to students.

Throughout their career, Carvajal has demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, and strategic finance. Juan Sebastian'sexperience spans various sectors, including financial services, fintech, food, healthcare, and oil & gas.

Juan Sebastian Carvajal, CFA obtained a Bachelor of Science in Management (BSM) with a major in Finance from Tulane University in 2014. Juan Sebastian then pursued a degree in Business Management, with a focus on Business Administration and Management, General, at Universidad de Los Andes from 2010 to 2012. In 2022, they completed their MSc in Business Analytics from Imperial College Business School. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation from the CFA Institute in 2019 and acquired various courses and certifications related to machine learning, computational thinking, data science, computer science, and programming from reputable institutions such as Imperial College London, Stanford University, Columbia University, MITx, and Bloomberg LP.
