Alex Bikfalvi has had a diverse range of roles and experiences throughout their career. Starting in 2005, they worked as a Research Intern at Siemens, conducting research on network management. They then moved on to Alcatel-Lucent in 2006, working as a Software Engineer. Following this, Alex worked as a Research Assistant at IMDEA Networks Institute from 2007 to 2011.

In 2012, Alex transitioned to academia, becoming a Postdoctoral Researcher at Universitat Pompeu Fabra. During this time, they focused on research related to distributed Internet measurements and network neutrality. They also worked as a Lecturer at the university.

In 2014, Alex joined Midokura as a Software Engineer, contributing to their network virtualization software, MidoNet. They later became a Technical Lead, overseeing the development of MidoInsights, a SaaS product for virtual network monitoring and automation. Alex also briefly worked part-time at Midokura in 2018 as a Senior Software Engineer, delivering a SaaS MVP for edge ML IoT.

From 2017 to 2019, Alex worked at Schibsted Media Group as a Staff Software Engineer and Technical Lead, focusing on engineering data and productivity.

Currently, Alex is a Principal Product Lead at Adevinta, a role they have held since 2023. Prior to this, they were a Technical Product Lead and Technical Product Owner at the company, responsible for various products related to engineering and product metrics.

Throughout their various roles, Alex has demonstrated expertise in software engineering, technical leadership, and product management. They have worked in industries such as telecommunications, academia, and technology companies, showcasing their versatility and adaptability.
