Emily Liu

Emily Liu has extensive work experience in the field of clinical science and drug development. Emily is currently employed as the Senior Director of Clinical Science at Adicet Bio, Inc since November 2022. Prior to this, they held positions as the Senior Director of Clinical Science at BeiGene from January 2021 to April 2022, and as the Director of Clinical Services at Pharmacyclics, an AbbVie Company, from December 2016 to December 2020. Emily also worked as a Medical Director at Bavarian Nordic from February 2016 to December 2016, and as the Director of Clinical Science at Onyx/Amgen from July 2014 to December 2015 and at Exelixis Inc from June 2013 to July 2014. Emily Liu started their career as a Clinical Research Study Manager at Amgen from May 2006 to October 2011. Prior to that, they had roles as a Senior Clinical Science Specialist at Genentech/Roche from October 2011 to June 2013, and as a Director of Drug Development at Y’s Therapeutics, Inc from October 2004 to November 2005. Emily also had a previous role as a Director of Drug Development at Y’s Therapeutics, LTD. Emily has a strong background in designing clinical trials, developing clinical development plans, evaluating clinical CROs, and mentoring individuals in the drug development process.

Emily Liu has a strong education background in the field of Medicinal Chemistry. Emily obtained their Ph.D. from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they studied from 1986 to 1991. Following their doctoral degree, Liu pursued further research as a Post-Doc at The Scripps Research Institute from 1991 to 1992, focusing on Medicinal Chemistry. Later on, they enhanced their knowledge in the financial and management aspects by pursuing an MBA at Columbia Business School from 2000 to 2002.
