Tykia McGriff

Director of Human Resources at AdMedia

Tykia McGriff has an extensive work experience, beginning in 2015 with Bancroft as a Program Associate/ Employee Mentor. In this role, they worked directly with children and families in their home and community settings, using play and daily routines to teach a variety of functional skills to children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and other developmental delays and disabilities. In 2016, they began working as a Business Development freelancer and as the Business Owner of Faith Boutique LLC, a women’s online boutique providing rare and limited quantity clothing and accessories. In 2017, they began working as a Behavior Therapist for In STEPPS, and in 2018 they began working as the Director of Human Resources for AdMedia, as well as the HR Manager & Recruiter. In this role, they provided administrative support to Operations Manager and employees by assisting with basic and specific duties, such as recruiting, processing paperwork for pre-employment requirements, onboarding new employees, maintaining and coordinating shift schedules for staff and sales, preparing and submitting overtime hours to PayRoll company, reviewing staff attendance and monitoring based on tasks provided from Project Manager, and tracking and maintaining all sales staff outreach spreadsheets. Additionally, in 2018 they began working as the Social Media Manager for Grab a Ball Foundation, creating, curating and managing visual, shareable organic content in the social media content funnel.

Tykia McGriff received a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Wesley College, Delaware in 2015. In 2018-2019, they attended FIDM and earned an Associate of Arts - AA in Apparel Industry Management. Tykia is currently enrolled at Cornell University, where they are pursuing two certificates - one in Women's Entrepreneurship and the other in Women's Entrepreneurship.
