Emilia Jiao

Emilia Jiao is currently a Software Engineer at Administrate. Emilia previously worked as a Software Developer at Hut42 from March 2021 to December 2021, where they created APIs using Django and Django Rest Framework for various clients according to their needs, consolidated data from multiple external APIs into internal databases, designed and populated databases using Postgresql, and designed and created user interfacing webapps using HTML and javascript. From September 2020 to January 2021, they worked as a Full-stack Developer at Cubico, where they maintained a private logistics application built using the Symfony framework (PHP5), worked closely with warehouse workers to design and build custom interfaces that displayed relevant information needed for their work, and created custom SQL queries for custom stock tracking using business logic. Emilia also worked as a Full-stack Developer at WE from January 2019 to May 2019, and as a Product Manager | Operations Specialist at RiverPay Inc. from May 2018 to August 2018. Finally, they worked as a Software Developer | Process Engineering at PCK Intellectual Property (PCKIP) from September 2017 to December 2017.

Emilia Jiao obtained their Highschool Diploma, with honours, from Richmond Hill High School. Emilia then went on to study Management Engineering at the University of Waterloo, where they obtained their Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) Honours, Co-op.

Their manager is Conor Winders, EVP, Engineering. They are on a team with Kyle Peterson - Software Engineer, Finlay Mackenzie - Software Engineer, and Omar Khatib - Sales Engineer.
