Arul Mathur

Arul Mathur is an Open Source Software Engineer at Tembo and Cincinnati Ventures since June 2023, while also serving as a Research Coordinator at UCLA since April 2023, focusing on human image perception through artificial intelligence and convolutional neural networks under professor Katsushi Arisaka. Previous experience includes a Software Engineer role at ripple, where internal tooling was developed, enhancing data processing efficiency significantly, and founding FACE Fires. Arul also served as Congressional Debate Captain and Varsity Debate Competitor, achieving a ranking of 9th in California and the U.S. in Congressional Debate. Additionally, experience as a Teaching Assistant at UC Berkeley ATDP involved instructing middle school students in Computer Science fundamentals. Arul is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering at UCLA from September 2022 to June 2026.
