Vijay Rengarajan

Vijay Rengarajan is a Staff Machine Learning Engineer at Adobe since July 2025, with previous experience as a Senior Research Scientist at Meta from September 2021 to April 2025, focusing on machine learning-based camera pipelines, biometric authentication for AR/VR wearables, and generative AI. Prior to that, Vijay Rengarajan served as a Research Scientist at Carnegie Mellon University, specializing in computational high-speed videography and fruit freshness assessment using structured illumination, from December 2017 to September 2021. Vijay Rengarajan began the professional journey as a Research and Teaching Assistant at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras from August 2011 to July 2017 and also worked as a Software Engineer at Motorola, where responsibilities included developing simulators for CDMA-EVDO and bulk MCC-DO systems from July 2008 to August 2011. Vijay Rengarajan holds a PhD in image processing, computational photography, and computer vision from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, where studies were completed between 2011 and 2017, alongside a Master of Science in the same fields from 2011 to 2013.
