Adams George

Research Scientist at Adrestia Therapeutics

Adams George has work experience in various roles and companies. In 2014, they worked as a Catering Assistant at Sherlees Outdoor Catering until 2016. In 2015, they were a Summer Research Student at the University of Liverpool, where they learned and practiced biochemical techniques and skills. From 2016 to 2017, Adams worked as an Industrial Placement Student at GSK, specifically in the Induced Pluripotent Stem Cell (iPSCs) Capability Development and Screening, Profiling and Mechanistic Biology (SPMB) team. Here, they focused on developing and optimizing methods for iPSC culturing and differentiation, as well as providing support for cellular assays critical to drug discovery. Currently, Adams is working as a Research Scientist at Adrestia Therapeutics since April 2022.

Adams George began their education at Archbishop Beck High School & College, where they completed their A-Levels in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Maths between the years 2006 and 2013. Adams then went on to pursue their undergraduate degree at the University of Liverpool, graduating in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. Following this, Adams continued their education at the same university and completed their Masters in Biological Sciences (MBiolSci) with a focus on Biochemistry from 2013 to 2017. Adams George further advanced their academic journey at the University of Liverpool by pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Cellular and Molecular Physiology, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
