Guðmundur Smári Þorvaldsson

Guðmundur Smári Þorvaldsson is currently working as a Data Engineer at Adsum since 2022. Previously, they were a Data Science Intern at Judge.me from 2022. From 2019 to 2021, they worked at Keahotel ehf as a Revenue Management Specialist and Accountant. Guðmundur Smári's role as Revenue Management Specialist involved maximizing the company's revenue per guest, implementing and managing new systems, and creating revenue and occupancy reports. From 2018 to 2019, they worked at Reykjavik University as a Teaching Assistant in Physics I and Physics II for engineering students, grading weekly homework assignments and assisting students with problem solving.

Guðmundur Smári Þorvaldsson is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Big Data Science at Queen Mary University of London, which they began in 2021 and is expected to complete in 2022. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Financial Engineering from Reykjavik University, which they attended from 2016-2019. Guðmundur Smári also attended Fjölbrautarskólinn í Garðabæ from 2012-2015, where they obtained a Student degree in Natural Sciences. Additionally, they have obtained Intermediate Machine Learning certification from Kaggle in 2021 and JavaScript Algorithms and Data Structures certification from freeCodeCamp in 2020.
