Landon Ames Garrucho

Landon Ames Garrucho has a diverse work experience in the field of graphic design and production. Landon Ames started their career in 2010 as a Freelance Graphic Designer at Bay Area Video Coalition, where they created motion graphics and edited videos for various clients. From 2013 to 2015, they worked as a Print Consultant at Forward Printing, Inc., providing quality customer service in screen printing processes.

In 2015, Landon joined BlueFrog Screen Printing & Embroidery as a Project Manager Support, and later took on the role of Graphic Production Artist/Heat Transfer Specialist and Junior Graphic Designer. During their time at BlueFrog, they mocked up pre-production proofs, created art separation files, designed art for customers and in-house projects, and supported the owner with special projects.

Landon Ames then moved on to Techstyles Sportsware in 2019 as a Graphic Designer Production, where they supported sales reps in creating unique designs and provided design solutions for customers. Landon Ames also followed branding standards when designing art for specific customers such as UC Berkeley.

In 2017, Landon started their own apparel and accessories brand, United States of Awkward, as the Owner and Designer. Landon Ames produced concepts, mock-ups, and designs, and maintained the brand's website and social media platforms.

Landon Ames continued their graphic design career at Alameda County Fair in 2020 as a Production Designer & Printer. Landon Ames managed graphic design and print requests, created digital assets, and planned and executed signage projects within tight deadlines.

In 2021, they worked at LogoBoss as a Shipping and Receiving Specialist/Production Assistant, where they coordinated all shipping and receiving for orders and ensured that goods were prepared for production. Landon Ames then joined BYOG as a Graphic Designer/Production Artist, managing creative projects, reviewing graphics, and preparing print files.

Most recently, Landon joined Advance Behavioral Therapies in 2022 as a Recruiting & Admin Assistant.

Landon started their education journey in 2004 at San Leandro High School, where they focused on various subjects including video production, computer science, graphic/web design, and animation. Landon Ames completed their high school education in 2007.

After graduating from high school, Landon attended Ex'pression College for Digital Arts from 2007 to 2010. Landon Ames pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science degree with a specialization in motion graphic design.

In 2022, Landon enrolled in Avocademy (YC W22) and obtained a Technical Certificate in UX/UI Foundations. Later in the same year, they also completed the Mountaineer program at Trailhead by Salesforce, specializing in Salesforce Administration.

Additionally, Landon has obtained several certifications throughout their educational journey. In 2020, they completed the CompTIA A+ (220-1001) Cert Prep 1: The Basics and the CompTIA A+ (220-1001): Cert Prep 2 Microprocessing and RAM, both from LinkedIn. In 2023, they obtained a certification in UX/UI Foundations from Avocademy (YC W22).
