Daniel Real

Daniel Real is an experienced professional in energy and project management, currently serving as a Portfolio Manager for Strategic Projects at Advanced Energy since June 2019. In this role, Daniel oversees project management and technical delivery for Strategic Investment Funds, contributing to the expansion of Advanced Energy's service offerings. Previously, as a Distributed Energy Resource Systems Consultant, Daniel conducted inspections of utility-scale solar photovoltaic facilities. Daniel's background includes serving as an Assistant Project Manager at Southern Research, where responsibilities included managing research projects for the Department of Energy, and a post-doctoral researcher focused on innovative energy technologies. Daniel earned a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science from Duke University and has held various academic roles during education at Emory University and Oxford College.
