Sudha Kannan

Sudha Kannan is an accomplished professional in the field of intellectual property and statutory compliance with extensive experience in research and development. Currently serving as Vice President at Advanced Materials-Aditya Birla Chemicals since January 2023, Sudha Kannan previously held the position of Assistant Vice President for IP & Statutory Compliance-R&D. A long tenure at Aditya Birla Science & Technology Company Ltd from 2008 to January 2023 included the role of Head - Patent Cell and Knowledge Centre. Early career experiences include managerial positions at USV LIMITED and The Times of India, along with roles at ACC Limited and the British Council. Sudha Kannan holds a Ph.D. in Patent Search Methodology from the University of Mumbai, complemented by a Diploma in Patent Law & Practice, alongside degrees in Library & Information Science and Chemistry from the University of Mumbai.
