Chakarat Skawratananond

Chakarat Skawratananond is an experienced validation engineer specializing in pre-silicon verification for Datacenter GPU at AMD since December 2019. Prior to AMD, Chakarat served as a Senior Staff Engineer at Samsung Austin R&D Center from April 2012 to December 2019, focusing on pre-silicon performance verification and developing run-time environments for emulation systems. With a background as a Staff Engineer at Samsung, performance analysis of Custom CPU workloads was conducted. Chakarat's career started at IBM from January 2001 to March 2012 as a Linux Performance Analyst, where contributions included SAP benchmark expertise and performance tuning for Linux applications on POWER systems. Additionally, experience as a Technical Consultant involved supporting ISVs in migrating to Linux and AIX platforms. Earlier, a software engineering role at Concero involved UNIX software migration and development of C++ modules. Chakarat holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and a B.Eng in Electrical Engineering from Chulalongkorn University.
