Haris Javaid is an accomplished researcher and leader in the fields of AI and networked systems, currently serving as Director and Principal Researcher at AMD since March 2022, where leadership of a team of PhD researchers and interns is a key responsibility. Additionally, Haris leads the Performance and Scale Workgroup at Hyperledger Foundation, focusing on the performance and scalability of distributed ledgers since May 2021. Prior roles include Senior Staff Researcher at Xilinx, where exploration of data center acceleration in high-performance distributed systems occurred, and a tenure at Google as a Senior Software Engineer, developing distributed event processing systems and big data pipelines.
