Jay Kirkland currently serves as Corporate Vice President for Datacenter GPU Platforms at AMD since February 2020, following extensive experience at Intel Corporation from 1998 to 2020 in roles such as Vice President of Platform Engineering in the Programmable Solutions Group and General Manager of the Client Computing Group. Kirkland led significant initiatives in technology development related to system-on-chip design and co-engineering relationships with strategic customers. Earlier in the Intel tenure, Kirkland established the Board Engineering and Support Division for the Data Center Group and has a proven track record in validation and application engineering for various computing platforms. Jay's career began at NCR/AT&T, focusing on ASIC design and verification for server systems. Kirkland holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of South Carolina.
