Ron Swartzentruber

Ron Swartzentruber possesses extensive experience in silicon design and engineering, currently serving as Director of Silicon Design Engineering at AMD since 2024, leading a development team focused on semi-custom IP for strategic clients. Prior to this role, Ron held the position of Director of Engineering at Lightelligence from 2021 to 2024, directing the development of AI hardware accelerators and interconnects. From 2011 to 2020, Ron was Silicon Development Lead at Netronome, where responsibilities included overseeing architecture and design for Network Flow Processor SoC devices. Earlier roles include Director of Engineering at Vitesse Semiconductor, managing a team specializing in OTN mappers and Ethernet MACs, and Logic Design Manager at Freescale Semiconductor, leading design initiatives for sophisticated processors and switches. Ron earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Geneva College.
