Bosun Michael

Bosun Michael has a diverse range of work experience in engineering and project management roles. Bosun started their career as an Oceanographic Engineer at Fugro GEOS Pte Ltd, where they collaborated in the design and fabrication of meteorological and oceanographic systems. Bosun also managed equipment documentation and executed project management duties.

Bosun then moved on to AXYS Technologies Inc., where they held multiple roles. As a Mechanical Engineer, they specialized in designing, developing, and testing mechanical solutions for marine data acquisition systems. Bosun coordinated the assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of products and maintained detailed technical documentation. Later, they became the Mechanical Design Team Lead, responsible for managing daily operations, leading team recruitment, overseeing large-scale design projects, coordinating with external partners, and driving company initiatives.

Most recently, Bosun Michael joined Advanced Navigation as the Mechanical Engineering Team Leader. In this role, they are responsible for leading a team of mechanical engineers and technologists, coordinating daily scrums and team task allocation, conducting performance reviews, and leading design review sessions.

Bosun Michael attended the University of Tasmania from 2006 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Ocean Engineering. In addition to their degree, Bosun Michael has acquired various certifications, including Certified SolidWorks Associate (CSWA) from the SolidWorks Authorized Training Centre in August 2016, Working at Heights from Asretec Pte Ltd in November 2014, Forklift Licence from Tat Hong Training Institute in March 2013, Prince2 Project Management Practitioner from AXELOS Global Best Practice in January 2017, Rescue Dive from Scuba Schools International in December 2015, and FOET - Offshore Survival Training from SMTC Global in November 2014.
