Katherine Kinder has worked in a variety of roles since 2014. Katherine began their career as a Medical Transcriptionist for Docmed Consulting Medical Transcription. In 2019, they worked as a Physics/Mathematics/Chemistry Tutor and a Peer Tutor at Macquarie University. Katherine also worked as a Summer Research Student in the Diamond Nanoscience lab at Macquarie University, and as a Student Research Assistant in the Department of Physics and Astronomy. In 2021, they worked as a Medical Transcriptionist and a Legal Transcriptionist. Katherine is currently working as a Junior Photonics Engineer at Advanced Navigation, and as a Postgraduate Researcher (Master's Thesis) at The Australian National University. Her research activities include optical cavity set up, mode matching and analysis, suspended optics, electronics, feedback control system design and setup, and Python and C coding for the alignment algorithms and data analysis.
Katherine Kinder completed a Bachelor of Advanced Science in Physics from Macquarie University between 2018 and 2020. Katherine then went on to pursue a Master of Science in Precision Measurement and Instrumentation from The Australian National University, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
