Ben David

Ben David has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Ben began their career as an Advertising Manager at Haymarket Publishing from 1999 to 2002. Ben then worked as the Advertising Director for Four Four Two magazine from 2004 to 2008. Following this, they served as the Business Development Director at round8 from 2008 to 2009.

In 2009, Ben co-founded Pelusa, a content and design agency, and assumed the role of Managing Director until 2018. During their time there, they oversaw HR, managed key accounts, and streamlined working processes.

From 2014 to 2019, Ben served as the Co-founder and COO of Scrummy Club, a SaaS mobile loyalty marketplace. Ben was responsible for commercial strategy, P&L management, business planning, sales, PR, and content marketing. Additionally, they led staff recruitment and management, fundraising initiatives, and achieved significant growth through strategic partnerships.

In 2019, Ben joined SPARCA, the parent company of AOS Advanced Ophthalmic Systems, initially as a Commercial Director, where they explored market potential in the biometric and fintech space.

Ben's current position is the General Manager at AOS Advanced Ophthalmic Systems. Since 2019, they have been directly involved in all aspects of the business, from prototype development to full commercial roll-out. In their current role, they are responsible for overseeing product, sales, marketing, and customer success teams. Ben works closely with the CEO to define and implement the business strategy.

Ben David obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Kingston University from 1995 to 1998.
