Kelly Sonflieth

Kelly Sonflieth, SPHR has extensive experience in human resources, spanning multiple roles and companies. Kelly began their career at NACCO Materials Handling Group in 1993 as a Financial Analyst, where they provided analytical support and managed capital expenditures. Kelly then progressed to roles such as Senior HR Administrator, where they partnered with leaders to support team development, and Senior HR Advisor / HR Project Manager, where they managed compensation programs and developed policies in compliance with employment laws. In 2014, Kelly joined Advantis Credit Union as the Director of Human Resources, responsible for aligning HR strategies with company objectives. Recently, they have been serving as the Vice President Human Resources, driving HR activities, including talent acquisition and engagement, workforce planning, compliance, and DEI strategy support. Throughout their career, Kelly has demonstrated strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a focus on employee service and engagement.

Kelly Sonflieth, SPHR received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Capella University in 2011. Kelly also holds several additional certifications including a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) Certification obtained in 2003, a Strategic Workforce Planner (SWP) Certification obtained in 2018, and a Diversity and Inclusion Certificate from Cornell University obtained in 2021. Kelly also obtained the SHRM-SCP certification from SHRM in July 2018.
