Cathy Parker's work experience includes serving as the Director of Wellbeing at Adventist Health since September 2022. Prior to that, they held various roles at the Tuolumne County Superintendent of Schools, including County Superintendent from January 2019 to October 2022, Deputy Superintendent from June 2016 to January 2019, Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services from July 2013 to June 2016, and Project Coordinator from July 2011 to June 2013. Before joining the Tuolumne County Superintendent of Schools, they worked as a Project Coordinator at the San Joaquin County Office of Education from 2007 to 2011. Cathy'scareer began as a Teacher at Curtis Creek Elementary School, where they worked from 1998 to 2007.
Cathy Parker is currently pursuing a Doctorate degree in Psychology at California Southern University, which began in 2016 and is expected to be completed in 2024. Prior to this, they obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) in Geosciences from Mississippi State University, from 2012 to 2014. Cathy also holds a MA in Education: Admin from California State University, Stanislaus. In 1990, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Political Science at San Francisco State University. Additionally, Cathy has obtained several certifications, including Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Healthcare from Stanford Center for Health Education, Certified Grief Educator from David Kessler and Grief.com, and Wellness Counseling Certificate from Cornell University, all in 2023. Cathy has also completed certifications in Youth Mental Health First Aid Instruction and Adult Mental Health First Aid Instruction from Mental Health First Aid Trainings, along with Population Health Management Certificate from UCSF Health in the same year.
