Carlos Picanço

Carlos Picanço is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in tourism and sustainability. Currently serving as the Director of Sales, Marketing & Impact at Futurismo Azores Adventures since May 2018, Carlos also holds positions as the National Coordinator for the Sustainability Think Tank at PNT - PLATAFORMA NACIONAL DE TURISMO and as an Ambassador for Portugal with the Adventure Travel Trade Association and The Transformational Travel Council. In addition to these roles, Carlos is a College Professor at Universidade dos Açores, teaching tourism-related subjects with a focus on sustainable practices. Previous experience includes managing the Continuous Training Department at the School of Tourism and Hospitality Training of the Azores and completing an internship with the Azores Regional Government. Carlos is currently pursuing a PhD at Universidade de Aveiro and has completed various educational programs focused on sustainability and management.
