Vinitha Kumar

Vinitha Kumar, MD SFHM FACP, currently serves as the Executive Medical Director of Inpatient Services at Advocate Health since May 2023. Prior to this role, Kumar held various leadership positions at Sound Physicians from March 2016 to October 2022, including Chief Medical Officer, Associate Chief Medical Officer, and Regional Medical Director for Population Health and Value-Based Care. Kumar was also an Affiliate Associate Professor of Medicine at Oregon Health and Science University from June 2015 to October 2017 and served as the Medical Director of the Hospitalist Program at Salem Health from October 2013 to October 2015. Additionally, Kumar was a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Marquette University from October 2010 to August 2013 and the Regional Medical Director of Hospitalist Programs at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare from June 2006 to August 2013.
