Cadence Brown

Know Your IX Student Engagement Organizer at Advocates for Youth

Cadence Brown is an accomplished individual with extensive experience in advocacy, community engagement, and youth services. Currently serving as a Legal Advocacy Intern, Volunteer, and Community Engagement Intern at Merryman House Domestic Crisis Center since March 2021, Cadence has also held multiple roles within the Kentucky Student Voice Team, including Senior Advisor, Board President, and Cross-Organizational Coordinator. In addition, Cadence contributes as a Know Your IX Student Engagement Organizer at Advocates for Youth and has worked in various capacities at Marshall County High School Family Resource and Youth Service Center. Cadence's prior experiences include positions at the Institute for Citizens & Scholars, Seek Common Ground, Search Institute, and Student Voice. Cadence completed a Bachelor's degree in American Studies at Yale University after graduating with a high school diploma from Marshall County High School in May 2023.
