Ross McFarland is an experienced environmental consultant and industry advisor with over 40 years in environmental assessment and management. Currently serving as the Industry Director and Chief Environmental Scientist at AECOM, Ross supports a team of more than 260 professionals in addressing complex environmental challenges. In addition to their role at AECOM, Ross is an Environmental Consultant Advisor for Standards Australia and a CRC CARE Fellow. Ross also has a background in research, having worked as a Research Scientist at various institutions and as a guest lecturer at the University of Technology Sydney. Ross holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Analytical Chemistry and a Master of Engineering in Environmental Engineering from UNSW.
