Beth Cartlidge has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Beth started their career at John Labatt Limited as a Payroll Analyst in 1988. Beth then moved on to Pepsi Cola Canada Beverages, where they worked as a Payroll Manager for 11 years. After that, they joined Cara Operations as the Director of Shared Accounting Services, where they were responsible for payroll processing and led the consolidation of decentralized teams. Cartlidge then joined PepsiCo as the Director of Financial Operations, overseeing system implementations and control initiatives. In 2009, they became the Director of Compensation, Benefits & HRIS at PepsiCo Beverages Canada. Beth later transitioned to PepsiCo as the Director of SAP North America Expansion Project, before eventually joining Aecon Group Inc. as the Vice President of Operational Finance Shared Services. Overall, Cartlidge has a strong background in finance, payroll, and shared services.

Beth Cartlidge attended the Schulich School of Business - York University in 2008-2009, focusing on Leadership Development. Beth then pursued a degree in Benefits & Pension from Humber College from 1988-1992. Beth also obtained a degree in Business and Computer Programming from Fanshawe College from 1980-1983. In 2010, they returned to the Schulich School of Business - York University to study Project Management. In addition to their formal education, Beth received certification from Schulich ExecEd in "AECON: Maximizing Leadership Impact with Emotional Intelligence" in 2023.
