John Langford, MBA, has a diverse work experience in the entertainment industry. John served as the Chief Operating Officer at AEG Europe, a subsidiary of the Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG). Prior to that, Langford was the Vice President and General Manager at The O2, the world's busiest music and entertainment venue. John also held the position of Director of Live Entertainment at the Scottish Exhibition + Conference Centre (SECC), where they focused on both clients and consumers. Langford's experience includes being the Chief Operating Officer of Big Concerts (Pty) Ltd, Africa's top international music concert promoter, and serving as the General Manager/Controller of 5FM, a national top 40 radio station.
John Langford, MBA has a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Economics and Business from the University of the Witwatersrand, obtained between 1989 and 1991. John pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Strategic Marketing at the University of Hull from 1999 to 2002. John later earned a Post Graduate Certificate in Applied Financial Management from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2002. In 2015-2016, they completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Destination Leadership Programme at Edinburgh Napier University. Most recently, in 2021, John obtained a degree in Business and Climate Change: Towards Net Zero Emissions (ISBL) from the University of Cambridge. Additionally, they completed an Executive Development Programme at GIBS Business School (Gordon Institute of Business Science) in 2005.
