Matt Hubbard

Matt Hubbard is Aegon Asset Management's chief people officer responsible for leading the human resources function and for designing and implementing the people proposition to attract, develop and inspire employees and enable the firm’s global strategy. Prior to joing Aegon AM, he worked at Lloyds Banking Group where he was people director for business & commercial banking and corporate & institutional banking. He previously held human resources leadership roles at Citibank and Barclays, based in the UK, North America, Sweden and Singapore. Matt started his career as an officer in the British Army. Matt joined the firm in 2023. He has a masters in violence, conflict and development from SOAS (School of Oriental and African Studies), University of London, an MBA from Bayes Business School, London and completed the Business Sustainability Management programme at the University of Cambridge’s Institute for Sustainability Leadership.
