Senior Project Manager, Site Mitigation at AEI Consultants

Nick has over 20 years of experience in the environmental consulting and geotechnical engineering field with a strong knowledge of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) Technical Requirements for Site Remediation (TRSR), Site Remediation Reform Act (SRRA), Administrative Requirements for the Remediation of Contaminated Sites (ARRCS), and various technical guidance documents. Nick has conducted a wide variety of site investigations including Preliminary Assessments (PAs) and Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), soil boring and test pit programs, monitoring well installation, underground storage tank (UST) removals and closures, and assessment/investigation/remediation at large oil and gas refineries and terminals.

Nick has completed extensive fieldwork and prepared associated regulatory reports pertaining to environmental insurance claims and soil, groundwater, and indoor air/soil gas investigations. He has successfully completed a variety of projects including remedial investigations, vapor intrusion studies, environmental impact statements, Industrial Site Recovery Act (ISRA) compliance, and remedial action activities at industrial, commercial, and residential sites. Nick also has knowledge of the geotechnical engineering field with experience in settlement analysis, compaction testing, backfill inspection and testing, foundation excavation inspection, and rock mass classification.

Nick is a New Jersey Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) and currently serves as the Technical Lead for the Site Mitigation Eastern Region. His duties include senior management of all regulatory remediation work in New Jersey, business development, proposal writing, and senior review of all final reports. Prior to joining AEI Consultants, Nick was a Senior Project Manager and LSRP for a nationwide environmental consulting firm and was responsible for the investigation and remediation of several major oil and gas terminals.

Nick has served as the LSRP-of-record for over 30 sites including bulk petroleum storage facilities, refineries, complex industrial and commercial properties, retail petroleum service stations, childcare facilities, and former agricultural sites and has issued over 20 Response Action Outcomes (RAOs) to administratively close either areas of environmental concern (AOCs) or entire sites. Nick holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geological Sciences and Mathematics from Rutgers University and is a member of the Licensed Site Remediation Professionals Association (LSRPA), Commerce and Industry of New Jersey Environmental Business Council, and Brownfield Coalition of the Northeast (BCONE).
