Santiago Cortés Burns

Mr. Cortés has an aeronautical engineering degree from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and did his final-year project at the University of Manchester.

He joined the air navigation area of Aena in 2006 to work in the international sphere, being responsible for several joint activities with EUROCONTROL and the European Commission. He previously worked at Ineco on managing participation in European programs and SESAR.

He has had responsibilities associated with improving the ENAIRE integrated management system, including the safety, security, quality, and environment spheres since 2013, and is currently the head of the Safety, Quality, and Environment Division.
