Tyson Baber

Tyson Baber has been a director at Aera since July 2014. Prior to that, they were an M&A Business Development Executive, Manager, and Business Analytics at IBM from August 2006 to July 2014. During their time at IBM, they led and managed various software acquisitions, complex licensing, divestiture and ecosystem development activities, including the establishment of the IBM Watson Venture Fund and the acquisitions of both SPSS (Predictive Analytics, $1.2 Billion USD cash transaction) and Cognos (Business Intelligence and Performance Management, $5.0 Billion USD cash transaction).

Tyson Baber has an MBA in International Business from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School and a JD in Corporate Law and International Law from the University of North Carolina School of Law.
