James Drudy started their career in 2005 as an Engineering Student at the Irish Air Corps, where they gained experience in maintenance and technical services. In 2006, they worked as a Maintenance Engineer at Westair Aviation Ltd, where they performed maintenance tasks and managed aircraft parts and fuels. In 2007, they joined Airbus as a Direct Entry Graduate - Structures and completed multiple placements, including stress analysis and design work for various aircraft models. James then held roles as a Static Stress Engineer and Lead Stress Engineer at Airbus, where they were responsible for wing stress activities and leading the team in enabling the build of A350XWB wings. In 2014, they joined CAE Parc Aviation as an Engineering Services Manager, focusing on providing technical services to aircraft leasing companies and airlines in the Asia Pacific region. James later transitioned to AerCap in 2015, initially serving as the Vice President, Engineering Services and eventually becoming the Vice President Technical. James Drudy began their education at Rice College, Ennis, where they obtained a Leaving Certificate between the years 1997 and 2003. James then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Limerick, graduating from 2003 to 2007. James later pursued a Master's degree in Finance, General from University College Dublin, completing their studies from 2016 to 2018. Alongside their formal education, James also obtained various certifications throughout their career. These include certifications in areas such as driving engagement at work, managing introverts, managing a multigenerational workforce, managing organizational change for managers, and skills for supervisory management, among others. James obtained these certifications from institutions such as LinkedIn, Singapore Institute of Management, and the Law Society of Ireland. Additionally, they completed courses in aviation leasing and finance from the Law Society of Ireland and operations management from Coursera. In 2011, they also obtained a course certification in mechanics of materials and aerospace structures design from Bournemouth University.
